BSEEN Alumni business Aura-Lotus has won the Bronze award in the face category at the second Free From Gift Awards.
The Awards were launched in 2020 by the same team behind the annual Free From Skincare Awards, in order to celebrate the best beauty gift sets, skincare trial packs and cosmetic stocking fillers from brands who manufacture products that are ‘free from’ some of the allergens, chemicals, additives and fragrances associated with skin sensitivities, allergies, and ethical, environmental and health concerns.
“It’s such an honour to have won this incredible award”. Says Alixzondra Samuda, the founder of Aura-Lotus. “We strive to perfect the balance between high colour pigments, botanicals and natural oils without any toxic chemicals, so this award really complements the company perfectly.”
The announcements were made on 9th November, following a testing and assessment process which concluded with expert panel judging sessions, conducted via video-conferencing due to pandemic restrictions.
Alixzondra founded Aura-Lotus in 2017. After completing a master’s degree in business, she went on to research ingredients in cosmetics as her mother’s health issues led her to question everything from the foods she ate to the cosmetics she wore. After producing the final product and selling out at the launch party, Alixzondra knew Aura-Lotus would be a success and the company continues to grow today.
“In the near future I plan to expand on the product range including new gift sets every Christmas.” Adds Alixzondra.
