Kath Rice

Organisation: Aston University
Role: Enterprise Consultant
Top Recommendation: The Y Combinator Startup Library

Kath’s role is all about getting stuck in with supporting our student and graduate businesses; providing one-to-one guidance, managing our mentoring programme and creating opportunities for them to learn and grow. As well as BSEEN, Kath and the team are champions of entrepreneurship at Aston University, producing educational events throughout the academic year. She has also been University Adviser to the entrepreneurial society Enactus.

Since falling into the world of start-ups after university, Kath has loved working with energetic new entrepreneurs and coming up with new creative ideas to support them on their journey. Perhaps most importantly, she enjoys connecting them with the other fantastic individuals she’s met along the way.

She was previously Programme Director at Birmingham’s leading start-up accelerator Oxygen, Marketing and Events Manager at digital agency 383 Project, Incubation Manager at the Entrepreneurs for the Future programme, as well as other freelance marketing and events roles.

When she’s not at BSEEN, she loves reading, watching the Birmingham Royal Ballet and travelling whenever she gets the chance.
