Carolyn has been the BSEEN Project Manager since 2012.  Over this time Carolyn has supported more than 500 students and graduates to start their business in Birmingham. 

Carolyn loves coaching the new start-up founders, sharing their highs and lows and connecting them to her network.  She has been fortunate enough to share the experience of collaborating with other HE partners in entrepreneurship education at conferences throughout the UK and Europe.  Last year she delivered workshops at the IEEC conference in Oxford, the EAIE Conference in Helsinki and as part of the British Council’s Creative Spark project with a tech accelerator in Armenia. 

Carolyn has worked at Aston University since 2007 as the Placement Manager in the Business School, supporting students to secure their placement year and working with UK businesses. She has a Masters in Careers Studies & Coaching from the University of Warwick.

Previously, she worked in the private sector for over fifteen years, specialising in advertising and recruitment consultancy.

When she’s not working, she loves reading, running, cooking and travelling in Europe.
