Not your average catering company…

MyDine began as an award winning online healthy meal prep delivery service that supplies customers with fresh & healthy Caribbean-fusion meals all over the UK.

Founder Cleo has always had an entrepreneurial streak – from charging her Dad 50p for a cup at tea at home, to her first proper venture (a marketing agency), she has always wanted to start her own businesses. Her love of cooking led her to start up the company alongside her father, also a professional chef.

MyDine allowed customers to choose and customise their favourite Caribbean-fusion meals directly from their website, all of which are then cooked fresh to order and delivered to customers’ homes and offices anywhere in the UK.

Since the launch of MyDine, Cleo has also launched MyDine Catering, a full service corporate and private events catering provider specialising in Caribbean-British food, delivered and served across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

“I believe BSEEN taught me the inner-workings of a business. Most people see the top of a business, but don’t understand the mechanics required to drive it forward. BSEEN provided me with ample skills and opportunities through their mentorship network to really understand the inner-workings of my start-up”

Their clients range from charities and small SMEs to large corporates and Fortune 500 companies, include the likes of Amazon, Google, The Princes Trust Birmingham, The West Midlands Combine Authority & Beatfreeks.

As well as being accepted onto the NatWest Accelerator programme, Cleo has also received a number of accolades; Birmingham 30 under 30 Winner, Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist at the Birmingham Post Awards 2019, and regional finalists at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards for Family Business of the Year 2019.

With a wide range of different catering options, Cleo is planning on growing her Caribbean-British catering services to reach more clients across the West Midlands, as well as focusing on supplying her services to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

“Birmingham and its resources have helped nurture and develop my understanding and awareness of business. What many people don’t know is Birmingham is home to several programmes (such as BSEEN) that are there to engage and help young people on their journey of entrepreneurship.”
