Healthier Authentic Indian Plant-Based, Gluten, Wheat & Dairy ‘Free From’ Foods with a twist.

Green Sisters offer healthier Indian food delivery nationwide, free from up to 14 major allergens. They produce award-winning vegan and gluten-free samosas, bhajis and curry that you can enjoy and share with confidence.

For sisters Reena and Geeta, cooking always played a pivotal role in their household growing up. When Geeta discovered she was coeliac, the sisters struggled to share family meals due to the lack of availability of meals that they could all enjoy.

So, after Reena graduated from Aston with a business degree, the sisters had a vision to create a range of foods that anyone could enjoy regardless of dietary requirements, without compromising on flavour – so they joined BSEEN to make their idea a reality.

“Having spent four years at Aston Business School, it’s been so rewarding to be able to take all I learned at university and apply it in the real world. BSEEN has given me that confidence to become an entrepreneur”.

Starting off selling at food festivals and corporate catering, the sisters now sell directly from their website and are in talks with several stockists. They’ve also expanded their innovative product range (thanks to securing their own kitchen) to chutneys, curries and more.

They have also run a successful crowdfunding campaign to develop their venture, and were finalists in the national Santander Entrepreneurship Awards 2017. More recent successes include Reena being selected for the ‘Birmingham 30 under 30’ list and the company being shortlisted for the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

Their Choco’Licious Samosa won a Great Taste Award in 2019, they were selected as one of Birmingham’s Top 50 Innovative companies by law firm Mills & Reeves and they have also been selected to appear on Santander’s website to offer top tips to young entrepreneurs aspiring to start their own business.

Reena and Geeta have big plans for the business, but as they expand they’re committed to their values of inclusiveness and offering great food, free from compromise. Their plans include moving their manufacturing to Birmingham, more retail listings and creating more jobs locally.

“Create a business you’re passionate about with real purpose and when times get tough remind yourself of your dreams. It will help to get you through!”
